On Saturday, June 24th, Vero Beach hosted a Brews and Burgers event at Riverside Park, with proceeds going to a local non-profit, United Against Poverty of Indian River County. The event had many local sponsors, and highlighted a local artisan beer and burger competition. One of the attractions was a car show with many local gear heads and hobbyists submitting their vehicles for display. It was a fantastic event, and the 2 hour thunderstorm only added to the memory. Many people stayed and endured the weather, huddling under canopies while making new friends, enjoying delicious burgers, and washing them down with a craft beer. Treasure Coast Keis submitted a Honda Acty Truck, and Acty Van to the event. We joined a few other Kei vehicles, including two Dihatsu HiJet fire trucks from Japan. Many curious people came to check out the Kei's and left with some new knowledge and a smile on their face. Overall, the event was a success and served as a very fun gathering for local businesses, residents, and visitors. Looking forward to the next one!
