The Mazda Bongo Friendee is an exciting eight-seater minivan, with a pop top camper it allows for 4 people to sleep/camp comfortably. Much like the VW Westaflia's of old, it allows you to get outside and explore the outdoors. Powered by a 2.5L Mazda V6, the engine isn quiet delivering smooth power and good fuel economu. Some Bongo's had a Mazda factory-fitted kitchens. Many were imported to the UK and converted to camper vans. All of them had fold-down seats downstairs to make a double bed, and on many models there was an "Auto Free Top" elevating roof which could sleep two more people.
